The Russian Black Sea Fleet’s warship will take part in a BLACKSEAFOR (Black Sea Naval Cooperation Task Group) naval exercise which will take place from March 28 to April 15. This information was presented by Vyacheslav Trukhachev, a spokesman for the Black Sea Fleet.
“During the calls to ports, seamen will visit children’s homes and schools and will invite the children to visit their ships. In addition, a combined military band will take part in the scheduled events this time,” Mr. Trukhachev reported, noting that Russian, Bulgarian, Romanian, Ukrainian, and Turkish warships will participate in the exercise this year. Georgia will be represented by a coast guard patrol ship.
It’s worth mentioning that BLACKSEAFOR was established on April 2, 2001 by Bulgaria, Georgia, Russia, Romania, Turkey, and Ukraine to form an international task force with the aim of enhancing peace and stability in the Black Sea by increasing regional cooperation and improving good relationship.
